Costa Rica Vacations

Costa Rica is a wonderful place for a vacation.  While lots of North America is under a blanket of ice and snow, you
could be enjoying a relaxing time on a beautiful Costa Rican beach!

Costa Rica is a tropical country sandwiched between Nicaragua in the north and Panama in the south with the Pacific
ocean on the west side and the Caribbean sea on the east!  They have basically two seasons which vary according to
where you are in Costa Rica.  On average, though, the dry season is from December to May and the rainy season is
from April to November.  The sun does shine a lot and the average temperature is around 72 degrees Fahrenheit -
what's not to love?

The people are friendly and although Spanish is the national language, they learn English at school and it's widely
spoken in the tourist areas.

There's also lots to do in Costa Rica - or not much at all, it all depends on you.  The land is so diverse with mountains,
rainforest, lots of waterfalls and even volcanoes and lakes.  The wildlife is amazing and so are the trees, plants and
flowers.  You can visit coffee and banana plantations and even take some coffee home.  Restaurants are famous
for their fresh produce, including great seafood.  The coffee is delicious, of course.

Many people have said that Costa Rica (which means rich coast in Spanish, by the way, and was given this name
by Christopher Columbo in the fifthteenth century) is a paradise on earth.  You deserve to see it!
